The CAMTRANS Albany Classic "Round the Houses" is run on the June WA long weekend each year ,the Vintage Sporting Car Club of Western Australia and the Albany Classic Motorsport club are the main organisers with other Albany community groups helping to put the event on, on the Saturday night a group of volunteers decend on the Albany CBD removing roundabouts,street signs,then lining the circiut with the concrete barracades which are then chained together .Then the cranes come in and assemble and lift the pedistrian cross overs ,remove the roundabouts ,then by the time Sunday comes around they have transformed the CBD into a circiut for the Regularity competition to begin in the classes of Tin Tops ,Pre 1960 Sport Cars,Camtrans Race Cars + invited ,Historic Touring Cars ,Post 1960 Sport Cars.These are some of the 1212 images in this slideshow so take your time ,if I've missed you lets know.
