        The Rebel WBBL Match 37 was played today at the Lilac Hill in the cricket carnival in Midland/Guildford ,the Perth Scorchers and the Sydney Thunder played today in front of over 2000 fans (and 14 dogs)in game 2 of the carnival weekend .Sydney Thunder Alex Blackwell captain won the toss and elected to bowl .Scorcher openers Meg Lanning and Amy Jones came out to the crease ,the new ball was thrown to Samantha Bates ,with the score at 5 Amy Jones was caught of the bowling of Lisa Griffith ,the Scorchers were now 1/5.Heather Graham was the new batsmen to the crease and with Meg Lanning took the score to 14 before Meg Lanning was bowled for 1 of the bowling of Lisa Griffith,Scorchers are now 2/14.Chloe Piparo was the next batter to line up and take centre ,together with HG the score went to 30 runs before Heather Graham was  caught off the bowling of Stafanie Taylor for 6 runs ,the Scorchers were now 3/30 .Nicole Bolton is the next batter to come out and take centre ,the couple added 14 runs before Chloe Piparo was caught off the bowling of Nicola Carey for 19 runs.The Scorchers are now 4/44 off  9 overs ,Lauren Ebsary came out and took centre ,then over the next 10 overs with Nicole Bolton added the pair put on a 78 run partnership to take the scorchers to 122 in the 19^th over .Nicole Bolton was then bowled by  Rene Farrell for a well made 50 runs ,the Scorchers were now 5/122 .Kate Cross was the next batter to come out and join Lauren Ebsary but 1 run later Ebsary was on her way back to the pavillion for a well made 33 runs,Scorchers were now 6/123 .Next batsmen to take centre Mathilda Carmicael ,unfortunately after a mix up Kate Cross was run out for 4 runs .After the Scorchers 20 overs they ended up 7/127.Nicole Bolton’s 50 and Lauren Ebsary 33 helped the Scorchers to a respectable score .For the Thunder Farrell and Griffith both ended up with 2 wickets each .

            It was the Sydney Thunder’s turn to come out and chase down the Scorchers total of 127. Rachael Priest and Racheal Haynes came out to open with Scorcher bowler Nicole Bolton taking the new ball .In the first over Bolton had taken the wicket of Rachael Priest who was caught for a duck ,the Thunder are now 1/0 .Naomi Stalanberg was the incoming batter to line up ,but after the pair added 14 runs Stalenberg was caught off the bowling of Nicole Bolton ,the Thunder were now 2/14 .The next batter to take centre was the Thunder captain Alex Blackwell  who with Rachael Haynes took the score to 70 before Haynes was bowled by Heather Graham for 33 runs,the Thunder are now 3/70,Harmanpreet Kaur came out and took centre and the pair took the score to 78 before Alex Blackwell was bowled by Kate Cross for a well made 37 runs ,the Thunder are now 4/79.Stafanie Taylor is the new batter to take centre and over the next 7 overs in a partnership Harmanpreet Kaur took the Thunders total to 119 runs .Harmanpreet Kaur was the next batter to go after being caught of the bowling of Heather Graham for 19.The Thunder made 124 runs of their 20 overs ,unfortunately they were 3 runs short of victory .Congratulations to the Scorcher bowlers who closed down the batting in the final overs.Rachael Haines and Alex Blackwell made valulable runs while Scorcher bowlers Nicole Bolton and Heather Graham each took 2 wickets .
