Perth Scorchers  vs  Melbourne Renegades

In the first KFC BBL Big Bash game to come to Optus Stadium for the 2020-21 season the Perth Scorchers take on the Melbourne Renegades infront of the 25,101 spectators,both teams haven’t had a good run into this match with both teams down the ladder .The captains had the bat flip and it was Aaron Finch who called it and sent Mitch Marsh’s Perth Scorchers into bat,coming out to open for the Scorchers are Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy ,Renegades quick Josh Laolor was thrown the new ball ,at the end of the first over the Scorchers are 0/5 ,these two batters took the score to 33 in the 5^th over ,then in the 6 th over Liam Livingstone played at a ball Noor Ahamad ,missed and was stumped for a well made 20 runs off 17 balls,the Perth Scorchers are now 1/41.Incoming batter is Josh Inglis who came out to join Jason Roy who is seeing the pretty well ,together over the next 3 overs this pair added 15 runs before Jason Roy was caught by Aaron Finch off the bowling of Jack Prestwidge for 27 runs ,the Scorchers are now 2/56 in the eighth over .Colin Munro is the incoming batter to join Josh Inglis ,these 2 batters added runs freely over the next 11 overs with both batters getting their 50 ,they went on to take the score to 172 before Colin Munro was caught by Sam Harper off the bowling of Jack Prestwidge for a well put together 52 runs ,the Scorchers are now 3/173.Incoming batter is Scorchers captain Mitch Marsh who joined Josh Inglis these batters added 12 runs off the final over with skipper Mitch Marsh putting the last ball over the fence for six ,the Perth Scorchers are 3/185 off there 20 overs,Jack Prestwidge was the better of the Renegade bowlers taking 2 wickets.The partnership of 117 runs between Josh Inglis and Colin Munro was a match winner with Josh Inglis making 72 runs not out and Colin Munro getting 52 runs  .

Melbourne Renegades openers skipper Aaron Finch and Sam Harper came out to face up to take centre ,Jhye Richardson was thrown the new ball by Scorcher skipper Mitch Marsh,Sam Harper made his intention known when he put the first ball over the rope for 4 runs ,the very next ball Sam Harper was making his way back to pavillion having been bowled by Jhye Richardson for 4 runs ,the Melbourne Renegades are now 1 /4 ,the next batter to the crease is Shaun Marsh who with Aaron Finch took the total to 15 before Shaun Marsh drove a ball straight back at bowler Jason Brehendorff who deflected to the ball which hit the stumps and caught Aaron Finch out of his crease and given out run out for 8 runs,the Renegades are now 2/15 .The incoming batter is Beau Webster to join Shaun Marsh together this pair added 11 runs before Beau Webster was caught by Mitch Marsh off the bowling of Jason Brehendorff for 2 runs ,the Melbourne Renegades are now 3/26 in the fourth over.Mohammad Nobi is the next batter to come out to join Shaun Marsh  at the crease ,this partnership lasted 7 balls before Shaun Marsh was caught of the bowling Aaron Hardie for 14 runs .The Melbourne Renegades are not looking to good with score at 4/31 in the fifth over,their main batters are sitting back in the pavillion ,incoming batter is Rilee Rossouw who lasted 4 balls before he was caught by Aaron Hardie off the bowling of Andrew Tye for 6 runs ,the Renegades are now 5/41 in the 6 th over .Jack Prestwidge is the new batter to come out and join Mohammad Nobi ,7 balls later Mohammad Nobi was heading in the pavillion having caught by Jason Brehendorf  off the bowling of Liam Livingstone  for 5 runs ,the Melbourne Renegades are now in deep trouble being 6/46 in the six overs .Kane Richardson made his way out to the crease to join Jack Prestwidge ,this partnership lasted 9 balls before Kane Richardson was run out for 9 runs ,the Renegades are now 7/59 .Josh Lalor is the new batter to the crease ,this partnership lasted 2 balls before Josh Lalor was caught for a duck of the bowling of Fawad Amed ,the Renegades are 8 /59 in the ninth over . Renegades batter Jack Prestwidge was joined by Peter Hatzoglou who took to the bowling but unfortunately after 3 overs Jack Prestwidge was out caught by Jason Brehendorff of the bowling of Liam Livingstone for a well made 33 much need runs ,the incoming batter is Norr Ahmad but this partnership was to last only 6 balls before Peter Hatzoglou was out caught by Josh Inglis off the bowling of Fawad Ahmed for 1 run ,the Melbourne Renegades are all out for 89 runs in the thirteenth over ,Jack Prestwidge was the top scorer for the Renegades with the 6 Scorcher bowlers sharing the wickets.
