Match 21 of the KFC BBL/08 came to Optus Stadium n Perth with the Brisbane Heat taking on the Perth Scorchers , Brisbane Heat captain Chris Lynn won the bat toss and sent the Scorchers into to bat ,coming out for the Scorchers were opening batsmen Michael Klinger and Cameron Bancroft ,Heat bowler James Pattinson was given the new ball Klinger and Bancroft steadily added runs to the total until in the 8th over when Cameron Bancroft played at a ball and was caught off the bowling of Ben Cutting for 24 ,the scorchers were now 1/56,Mitch Marsh was the next batsmen to come out and take centre, with only 3 runs added to the total Michael Klinger was stumped off the bowling of Mujeeb Ur Rahman ,Scorchers were now 2/59 after 9.2 overs. Scorcher captain Ashton Turner was the next batter to face up and together with Marsh added 19 runs to the total before Marsh was caught off the bowling of Mujeeb Ur Rahman , 3/87 was now the Scorcher total.Hilton Cartwright was the incoming batter ,he only managed 2 runs before he too was heading back to the pavilion ,bowled by Brendan Doggett for 2 ,Scorchers were now 4/90 after 15 overs .Ashton Agar was the next batsmen to come out and over the next 3 over’s with Ashton Turner added 30 much needed runs to the total before Agar was caught off the bowling of James Pattinson for 11 runs ,Scorchers were now 5/120.New batsmen Nathan Coulter-Nile came out to partner Ashton Turner who together added another 14 runs before the Scorchers captain was caught of the bowling Ben Cutting for a well made 47 runs .The Scorchers were now 6/134.Will Bosito was the new batsmen who came out and saw the 20 overs out ,The Scorchers ended up making 6/135 for the 20 overs .
Brisbane Heat batsmen Max Bryant and Brendon McCallum came out to open for the Heat with Scorcher bowler Jason Behrendorff being thrown the new ball , the Heat Steadily added some runs before Max Bryant was caught of the bowling off Nathan Coulter-Nile for 11 runs ,the Heat were now 1/19 ,Heat captain Chris Lynn was the next batsmen to the crease and over the next 3 overs added 22 runs before Brendon McCallum was caught off the bowling of Nathan Coulter-Nile for 14 runs ,the Heat are now 2/41 off 5.1 overs. Matthew Renshaw was the new batsmen to the crease and over the next 5 overs with Chris Lynn added 39 runs before Chris Lynn was caught off the bowling of Jhye Richardson ,the Brisbane Heat were now 3/80 off 10.1 overs .Joe Burns was the new batsmen who came out and took centre ,with only 7 runs added to the Heat’s total Matthew Renshaw was heading back to the pavilion going LBW to Jason Behrendorff for 18 runs ,the Heat were now 4/87 with 9 over’s remaining .The next batsmen to walk out and take centre was Jimmy Peirson who after making 4 runs was walking back ,the Heat were now 5/92 .The incoming batsmen was Ben Cutting who partnered Joe Burns to take the Brisbane heat’s total past the Scorchers ,the Heat made 139 runs off 18.2 over’s with Joe Burns remaining not out on 20 runs and Ben Cutting smashing 26 runs off 16 balls also remained not out.
Brisbane Heat won by 5 wickets.Player of the match was Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
