The Australian and Pakistan teams come to Perth to play in the first NRMA West Test here at the Stadium ,the 2 skippers Pat Cummins and Shan Masood made their way to the Centre for the toss and it was Aussie skipper Pat Cummins that called it and put Pakistan into the field .Coming out to open the batting for Australia in their first innings is Usman Khawaja and David Warner while the new ball was thrown to Shaheen Afridi and while Khurram Shahzad opened from the other end .This partnership batted on for 29 overs adding 126 runs before Usman Khawaja was out caught off the bowling of Shaheen Afridi for 41 runs off 98 balls ,Australia are now 1/126 .Making his way out to the crease is Marnus Labuschagne ,over the next 7 overs this partnership added 33 runs before Marnus Labuschagne played at a shot of Faheem Ashraf ,missed and was given out lbw for 16 runs of 25 balls ,Australia are now 2/159.The incoming batter is Steve Smith and over the next 19 overs this partnership added 79 runs to the total before Steve Smith was out caught of the bowling of Khurram Shahzad for 31 runs off 60 balls, Australia are now 3/238 in the 56th over, coming out to join David Warner is Travis Head this pair took the total to 304 before Travis Head was out caught of the bowling off Aamir Jamal for 40 runs off 53 balls, the Aussies are now 4/304 ,the new batter to the crease is Mitch Marsh ,this partnership added 17 runs before David Warner was out caught of the bowling of Aamir Jamal for a well made 164 runs off 211 balls ,the Aussies are now 5/321 in the 74th over ,coming out to the crease is keeper Alex Carey ,together with Mitch Marsh this partnership added 90 runs to the total before Alex Carey was out cleaned bowled for 34 runs off 73 balls, Australia are now 6/411 in the 96th over .Mitchell Starc is the new batter , this partnership added 38 runs before Mitchell Starc was cleaned bowled for 12 runs off 23 balls Australia are now 7/449 in the 104th over. Australian skipper Pat Cummins is the next batter to the crease and over the next 6 overs this partnership added 27 runs before Mitch Marsh was out clean bowled by Khurram Shahzad for a well made 90 runs off 107 balls ,Australia are now 8/476 .Nathan Lyon is the next batter to take Centre , 2 overs later it was the skipper Pat Cummins that was heading back to the pavilion after being caught of the bowling of Aamir Jamal for 9 runs of 22 balls ,Aussies are now 9/481.Josh Hazelwood is the incoming batter to join Nathan Lyon ,this partnership added 6 runs before Nathan Lyon was out caught off the bowling of Aamir Jamal for 5 runs of 12 balls ,Josh Hazelwood remained 4 not out Australia are all out for 487 runs off 113 overs. The best of the Aussie batters was David Warner making 164 runs in his farewell test in WA, Mitch Marsh getting his 90 runs, also Travis Head (40), Usman Khawaja (41) and Alex Carey (34), the stand bowler for Pakistan in this innings was Aamir Jamal who got 6/111 in his 20 overs in his first test.
Coming out to open Pakistan’s innings is batters lman ul Haq and Abdullah Shafique, while the new ball was thrown to Australian open bowlers Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood .The Pakistan openers added 74 runs before Abdullah Shafique was out caught of the bowling of Nathan Lyon for 42 runs of 121 balls ,Pakistan are now 1/74, the batter coming out is Shan Masood who with Ulman ul Haq added 49 runs to the total before Shah Masood was out caught behind off the bowling of Mitchell Starc for 30 runs off 43 balls ,Pakistan are now 2/123 in the 48th over. Khurram Shahzad is the new batter to take Centre ,this partnership added 10 runs before Khurram Shahzad was out cleaned bowled by Pat Cummins after making 7 runs of 20 balls ,Pakistan are now 3/133 .Babar Azam is the new batter and this partnership added 50 runs before Babar Azam was out caught behind off the bowling of Mitch Marsh for 21 runs off 54 balls ,Pakistan are now 4/181 in the 70th over .Saud Shakeel is the new batter to the crease ,this partnership added 9 runs before Ulman ul Haq was caught out of his crease and was out stumped off the bowling of Nathan Lyon for a well made 62 runs of 199 balls ,Pakistan are now 5/192. Sarfaraz Ahmed made his way out to the crease ,5 balls later Sarafaraz Ahmed was heading back to the pavilion after being cleaned bowled for 3 runs ,Pakistan are 6/195 in the 75th over.Agha Salman is the next batter to take Centre ,this partnership added 35 runs before Saud Shakeel was out after being caught off the bowling of Josh Hazelwood for 28 runs off 43 balls ,Pakistan are now 7/230.Faheem Ashraf is the next batter who with Agha Salman took the total to 241 before Faheem Ashraf was out caught off the bowling of Pat Cummins for 9 runs of 17 balls ,Pakistan are now 8/241 in the 91st over .Aamir Jamal is the new batter to make his way to the crease ,this pair added 17 runs before Aamir Jamal went down for a ball and missed and was out stumped off the bowling of Nathan Lyon for 10 runs of 18 balls taking Pakistan to 9/258 in the 96th over .Shaheen Afridi is the next batter ,this partnership added 13 runs before Shaheen Afridi was out caught off the bowling of Travis Head ,Pakistan are all out for 271.Ulman ul Haq was the stand batter for Pakistan hitting his 62 runs off 199 balls ,while contributions from Abdullah Shafique (42),Shan Masood(30),Salman Ali Agha (28).All the Australian bowlers each picked up wickets with Nathan Lyon getting 3/66.Pakistan fell short and are 216 runs behind.
Coming out to open the second Australian innings are Usman Khwaja and David Warner while Shaheen Afridi and Khurram Shahzad opened the bowling for Pakistan ,in the 2nd over played at a ball and was out for a Duck after being caught of the bowling of Khurram Shahzad ,Australia are 1/0 .The next batter to come to the crease is Marnus Labuschagne ,this partnership didn’t last Marnus Labuschagne played at a ball and was out caught of a ball from Khurram Shahzad for 2 runs off 18 balls .The next batter to the crease is Steve Smith ,slowly this partnership added runs to take the total to 87 before Steve Smith went lbw to a ball of Khurram Shahzad for 45 runs off 87 balls ,Australia are now 3/87 in the 36th over .Travis Head is the next batter to join Usman Khwaja this partnership ended in the 42nd over when Travis Head was out caught of the bowling of Aamir Jamal for 14 runs off 19 balls, Australia are now 4/107 .Mitch Marsh is the new batter to the crease to join Usman Khawaja ,this partnership added 126 runs to take Australia to 233 before Usman Khawaja was out caught off the bowling of Shaheen Afridi for a well made 90 runs off 190 balls, Captain Pat Cummins called the batters in and declared Australia’s 2nd innings at 5/233 ,Mitch Marsh ended up on 63 not out .Pakistan bowler Khurram Shahzad ended up taking 3 wickets of his 16 overs ,Pakistan need 450 runs to win.
Coming out to open the second innings and needing 450 runs to win, Pakistan’s Abdullah Shafique and Imam ul Haq, while the new ball was thrown to Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood, on the last ball of the first over it was Mitchell Starc that had Abdullah Shafique caught, Pakistan is now 1/2, the next batter to the crease Shan Masood, this partnership added 15 runs before Shan Masood was out caught for 2 runs off 11 balls, Pakistan are now 2/17. Babar Azam is the next batter to the crease ,this partnership added 2 runs before Iman ul Haq was given out lbw to Mitchell Starc for 10 runs of 20 balls ,Pakistan are now 3/19 .Pakistan are now in deep trouble and need a miracle from the remaining batters ,coming out to the crease is Saud Shakeel who with Babar Azam took the total to 48 before Babar Azam was out caught off the bowling of Pat Cummins for 14 runs off 37 balls .Pakistan are 4/48 ,the next batter to the crease is Sarfaraz Ahmed who partnership over the next 4 overs added 8 runs to take it to 56 runs before he was out caught for 4 runs of 10 balls off the bowling of Mitchell Starc ,Pakistan are now 5/56 .Agha Salman is the new batter ,this partnership lasted for 2 overs before Agha Salam was run out for 5 runs off 11 balls ,Pakistan are now 6/63,Faheem Ashraf is the next batter who added 5 runs off 22 balls before being caught of the bowling of Nathan Lyon ,Pakistan are now 7/79 in the 27th over.
