Western Australia and South Australia are the 2 teams that’ve earnt the right to be here to play off in the Marsh One day cup final at the WACA ground in Perth, WA. The 2 captains Ashton Turner and Jake Lehmann make there way to the center for the toss and its Jake Lehmann that called it and put WA into bat ,its perfect weather for the final .Coming out to open the batting is Josh Inglis and Josh Philippe while at the other end Spencer Johnson is thrown the new ball ,Josh Philippe started off slowly then in the 5 ball of the first over played at a ball and was out caught for 2 runs ,WA are now for 1/3 ,the next batter to the crease is Cameron Bancroft who with Josh Inglis over the next 35 overs put on a partnership of 227 runs before Josh Inglis played at a ball and was out caught at fine leg off the bowling of Henry Thornton for a well made 138 runs (110 balls) ,WA are now 2/230 .The next batter to the crease is Mitchell Marsh and this pair added 42 runs to the total before Cameron Bancroft tried a reversed sweep and was out caught off the bowling of Ben Maneti for a well-made 90 runs off 112 balls ,WA are now 3/272 in the 40th over .Marcus Stoinis is the new batter to come out and join Mitch Marsh ,this partnership lasted for just under 3 overs and added 30 runs to the total before Marcus Stoinis played at a ball and was out caught off the bowling of Ben Maneti for 11 runs ,WA are now 4/302 in the 43rd over .Skipper Ashton Turner made his way to the crease and with Mitch Marsh took the total to 335 before Mitch Marsh holed out and was out caught off the bowling of Wes Agar for 56 runs off the 33 balls faced .WA are now 5/335 in the 46th over ,coming out to join the skipper is Aaron Hardie ,this partnership only lasted for 3 balls before Ashton Turner was caught out off the bowling of Wes Agar for 18 runs hit off 10 balls ,WA are 6/338 .The new batter to make his way out to the center is Ashton Agar .This partnership lasted for 4 overs before Ashton Agar was out caught off the bowling of Henry Thornton for 26 runs off 15 balls ,WA are now 7/387 in the 49th over ,the new batter to the crease is Matthew Kelly who added 1 run to the total before Western Australia’s 50 overs were up ,WA put on 387 runs in their 50 overs .Josh Inglis being the major contributor with his 138 runs ,Cameron Bancroft batted well for his 90 runs and not forgetting Mitch Marsh who put on 56 runs off 33 balls .The SA bowling was shared around with Wes Agar being the better getting 2/56 off his 10 overs ,the other wickets were shared around with Johnson getting 2 ,Ben Maneti getting 2 and Henry Thornton getting 2 wickets.
Coming out to open the South Australian innings are Kelvin Smith and Henry Hunt who have started to chase down the 387 runs, WA bowler Jason Brehendorff was thrown the new ball. The Sth Australian innings started off well with the openers adding 84 runs to the total until in the 13th over when Kelvin Smith was out caught off the bowling Andrew Tye for 44 runs(34 balls) ,SA are now 1/84 .The next batter to make his way out is Daniel Drew and over the next 4 overs the partnership added 28 runs before Henry Hunt was out caught off the bowling off Ashton Agar for a well made 50 runs (55 balls),SA are now 2/102 in the 16th over .Daniel Drew faced up to AJ Tye and was out caught for 8 runs ,SA are now 3/106, Nathan McSweeney is the incoming batter ,this partnership lasted 7 balls before he was out bowled by Ashton Agar for 1 run ,SA are now 4/106 .Ben Maneti is the new batter to the crease is SA skipper Jake Lehmann this partnership added 16 runs before Ben Maneti was out caught + bowled by Ashton Agar for 9 runs(12 balls) ,SA are now 5/122 and still have to chase down 165 runs in the 30 overs remaining .Harry Nielsen is the incoming batter and together with Jake Lehmann added only added 7 runs before the skipper was out bowled by Ashton Agar ,SA are 6/129 .Nathan McAndrew is the new batter to make his way to the center ,and over the next 6.3 overs the pair took the total to 183 before Harry Nielson was out caught and bowled off the bowling of Ashton Agar for 15 runs ,SA are now 7/183 .The new batter is Henry Thornton ,this partnership added 1 run before Nathan McAndrew was out caught off the bowling of Ashton Turner for 42 runs(26 balls) ,SA are now 8/184 .Wes Agar is the incoming batter who with Henry Thornton added 11 runs before Agar was out caught of the bowling of Aj Tye for 6 runs SA are now 9/195,SA are in deep trouble with 19 overs left and needing a 192 run last wicket stand .The last batter to make his way to the crease is Spencer Johnson and together with Henry Johnson took the total to 206 before Spencer Johnson was out stumped off the bowling of Ashton Agar for 8 runs ,South Australia are all out for 206 runs ,Western Australian win by 181 runs .The best batters for SA were Kelvin Smith with 44 runs (34 balls) ,Henry Hunt with 50 runs (55 balls) and Wes Agar making 42 runs. The better bowler for WA was Ashton Agar who took 5/64 with AJ Tye picking up 3/34 and Ashton Turner getting 2/22.
