The coin was tossed and the SA Rebacks won and elected to bowl ,the NSW Blues came out and opened with Daniel Hughes and Ryan Gibson ,but wnen the score was on 2 Ryan Gibson was cleaned bowled for a duck (0)off the bowling Chadd Sayers ,the Blues were now 1 /2 in the second over,the next batsman to take centre was Kurtis Patterson ,he faced up and hit a ball to the boundry ,faced another ball from Sayers and was caught behind for 4 ,the blues were now 2 /6.The next batsmen to take centre was Moises Henriques who with Daniel Hughes took the score to 3/45 before Moises Henriques faced up to spinner Adam Zampa where he was cleaned bowled for 16 ,the Blues were now 3/45 .Nick Larkin was the next batsman to come out and take centre ,when the score was 64 Larkin played at a shot from Adam Zampa and was caught at first slip for 16 ,NSW are now 4/64 .Jack Edwards came out, took centre and together with Daniel Hughes over the next 15 overs took the score to 143 before Jack Edwards played at a shot from Joe Mennie and was caught at mid wicket for for a well made 42 runs out of the partnership of 79 runs,NSW were now 5/143 .Jay Lenton was the next batsmen out and together with Daniel Hughes started to build on a partnership but 6 overs later Daniel Hughes was run out after for a well made 79 runs ,the Blues were now 6/177 .Daniel Sams came out to join Jay Lenton and together they started to add some runs before Jay Lenton spooned up a shot back to Adam Zampa and was caught and bowled for 18 ,NSW were now 7/190,Steve O’Keefe was the next batsman to take centre ,together they put some more runs on the board before Daniel Sams was bowled by Cameron Valente for 30 ,the Blues were now 8/224.Steve O’Keefe the next batsmen to come out took centre ,after the partnership put on 17 runs Steve O’Keefe played at a shot and was caught behind for 20 runs.Sean Abbot came out took centre and after getting a start was caught beind by Carey for 6 ,the NSW Blues were all out for 241.Adam Zampa being the best Blues bowler who took 3/37 of his 10 overs .Redbacks batsmen Daniel Hughes hitting an impressive 79 runs off 98 balls.
After the break the Redbacks sent out Alex Carey and Jake Weatherall to open the batting ,but when the score had reached 7 Alex Carey was cleaned bowled by Sean Abbot for 5 .The next batsmen out was Callum Ferguson who together with Jake Weatherall put on 36 runs before Ferguson was caught by Larkin of the bowling of Mickie Edwards for 15 runs.Jake Lehman was the next batsmen to take centre and together with Jake Weatherall the pair steadily put on 161 runs in the 18 overs ,if there was an innings that broke the back of the Blues it wqs this oneMickie Edwards came into bowl to Jake Lehman who put up catch to Sean Abbot ,the Redbacks are now 3/241 .Tom Cooper is the next batsmen out who with Jake Weatherall put the Redbacks over the line and win by 13 overs and 7 wickets.SA Batsmen Jake Lehman put together 87 runs while Jake Weatherall scored a well deserved century and finished with 106 not out. The best of the blues bowlers was Mickie Edwards who took 2/66 of 9.1 overs.
