The first JLT Shield match for the 2018-19 season is the WACA was between the Western Warriors and the Victorian Bushrangers ,Victoria won the toss and sent the Western Warriors into bat ,Will Bosito and Jonathan Wells came out to the crease ,Chris Tremain was given the new ball ,in the ninth over he came in and bowled and took the wicket of Will Bosito ,the Warriors were now 1/23 ,next batsmen out and take centre was Hilton Cartwright ,after the pair added 2 runs Jonathan Wells was out LBW to Scott Boland for 9 ,WA now 2/25.The next Warrior to come out to the crease was Ashton Turner who faced up to 5 balls before being bowled by Scott Boland ,WA now are 3/25 .Marcus Stonis was the next batsmen to come out ,together with Hilton Cartwright  the pair added 17 runs before Cartwright lost his wicket after being caught to a ball from Scott Boland ,WA were now 4/42,the next batsmen out to take centre was Josh Phillipe ,the pair then started to put on a good partnership ,after putting together a partnership of 68 runs Josh Phillipe was caught of the bowling of  Andrew Fekete  for 41 ,WA were now 5/109 .Josh Inglis was the next batsmen to take centre ,together with Marcus Stonis the pair put on a 56 run partnership before Josh Inglis was LBW to Chris Tremain for 36 ,WA were now 6/165 .Coming out and taking centre was Cameron Green ,7 runs later Green played at ball and was heading back to the pavilion ,WA are now 7/172 .Matthew Kelly was the next batsmen to walk out to the centre ,unfortunately after a few balls he was struck in the side of the head and had to retire hurt ,David Moody was the next Warrior to take centre ,then at 180 David Moody was bowled by Chris Tremain ,the score was now 8/180 .Simon Mackin walked out took centre ,after the pair added 24 runs Mackin played at a ball from Andrew Fekete and WA were now 9/204.Usman Qadir came out and took centre ,but after only 4 runs were added to the total Marcus Stonis was caught for 80 runs of the bowling of Jackson Coleman ,WA were all out for 208.The best Victorian bowler was Chris Tremain who took 4 /37 off his 14 overs.

The Victorian bushrangers came out with the opening pair of Travis Dean and Marcus Harris who together put on 8 runs before Travis Green was caught behind of a ball from Cameron Green ,the Vic’s were now 1/8 ,the incoming batsmen was Will Pucovski  who with Marcus Harris added 55 runs before Marcus Harris was out LBW TO Marcus Stonis ,the Vic’s were now 2/63 ,Peter Handscomb was the incoming batsmen and together with Will Pucovski added another 49 runs before Peter Handscomb went LBW to Simon Mackin ,the score was now 3/112 .Cameron White came out to take centre and together with Will Pucovski the pair put on 89 runs before Cameron White was bowled by Marcus Stonis for 39 runs ,the VICS were now 4/201. Matt Short was the next batsmen out to take centre and after adding 159 runs in the 34 over’s  Matt Short who played without a chance played at a ball from Usman Qadir and was caught after making a well made 80 runs ,the Vics were now 4/360.The incoming batsmen was Seb Gotch who with Wll Pucovski took the score to 399 before Gotch was caught behind off the bowling of Marcus Stonis for 18 runs ,Victoria were now 6/399 ,incoming batsmen Chris Tremain joined Will Pucoski putting on 14 runs before Tremain was out LBW to Marcus Stonis for 8 ,Victoria were now 7/413,Scott Boland was the next batsmen to take centre ,this partnership added 39 runs before Boland went LBW to Usman Qadir for 10,the Vics were now 8/452,Jackson Coleman was the next batsmen out to join Will Pucoski ,together they put on a 51 run partnership before the innings of Will Pucoski came to an end ,in the 93 over’s that he was at the crease his innings went without a chance , his 342 runs which was his all time best in first class cricket and definitely put an end to any Warriors comeback .The Vic’s were now 9/503 ,Andrew Kekete came out and faced 4 balls and was soon heading back to the pavilion with Victoria being all out for 504.

The Warriors came out for their second innings having to get 296 runs to avoid the outright ,then within 18 overs the game was lost ,the only thing that would save the Warriors was if it was rained out .Will Bosito and Jonathan Wells came out to open for the Warriors and when the score had reached 12 Will Bosito went for 5 LBW to Chris Tremain  ,the Warriors were 1/12 , Hilton Cartwright was the next batsmen to take centre ,the next over Jonathan Wells was  walking back to the pavilion after being caught in front for 7 runs of the bowling of ,Warriors 2/12.Ashton Turner was batsmen next out to take centre ,then with the Warriors at  28 Turner was bowled by Scott Boland ,the Warriors were now 3/28.The incoming batsmen was Marcus Stonis ,after only after just a 4 run partnership, Hilton Cartwright was heading back after being bowled by Chris Tremain for 14 Warriors were now 4/32 .Josh Phillipie came out to join Stonis but this partnership went the same way as the last one Marcus Stonis was caught of the bowling of Chris Tremain for 3,Warriors 5/45.New batsmen Josh Philipe came out to join Josh Inglis and together they took the partnership to 120 runs then when things were starting to improve Inglis was caught of the bowling of Chris Tremain  for 69 ,WA were now 6/165 .Cameron Green came out to take centre and together with Josh Philipe they put together a partnership of 78 runs ,then Josh Philipe played at a ball from Scott Boland and was caught for104 well made runs ,WA 7/243.The next batsman to come out was Usman Qadir who made his way back to the pavilion  after only 1 run was added to the team score,WA was now 8/244, David Moody was the next batsman to take centre ,but that partnership added 6 runs then Moody was caught of the bowling of Scott Boland ,WA were now 9/250 ,Simon Mackin came out and was just as quickly sent back after going LBW to a ball from Chris Tremain  ,even with the rain interrupting play for most of the third day ,Victoria never looked like losing the match ,their batting and bowling was on a far more higher level than what the Warriors was .Chris Tremain and Scott Boland were the stand out bowlers with Tremain claiming 5 and Boland getting 4.

Man of the match went to Victorian batsmen Will Pucoski.Victoria won by an innings and 45 runs.
