Sorchers captain Meg Lanning with Sixers skipper Alyessa Healy made their way out for the bat flip ,Alyessa Healy Sixers skipper called it and decided to bowl and put the Scorchers into bat .Coming out to open for the Scorchers is Amy Jones and skipper Meg Lanning with Sixers bowler Maizanne Zapp was thrown the new ball .The Scorcher openers started the innings hitting 15 runs off the first 2 overs ,then in the third over Amy Jones half hit a shot and was caught behind off the bowling of Marizanne Zapp for 16 runs off 16 balls ,the Scorchers were now 1/19 .Incoming batter Georgia Redmayne came out to join Meg Lanning and this pair over the next 6 overs put on 42 runs before Georgia Redmayne was caught for 17 runs off the bowling of Ashliegh Gardner ,Scorchers are now 2/65 .The new batter to walk out to the centre to join Meg Lanning is Natalie Sciver ,Sarah Aley the Sixer bowler came in and after a mix up skipper Meg Lanning was run out for 28 runs off her 28 balls ,the Scorchers were now 3/68 in the 10th over .Nicloe Bolton is the new Scorcher batter and together with Natalie Sciver took the score to bring up the 100 runs in the 15 th over before Nicole Bolton was caught behind for 5 runs.With 5 overs left the Scorchers were now 4/100 .Heather Graham is the incoming Sorcher batter and with Natalie Sciver the pair took the total to 143 before Natalie Sciver was caught for 52 off the bowling of Marizanne Kapp .With 5 balls left to bowl for the Scorcher innings Chloe Pipparo made her way and with HG took the total to 152 off the 20 overs,the best of the Sixer bowlers was Maizanne Zapp who ended up with 2/27 off her 4 overs ,Dane Van Niekerk and Ashliegh Gardner also claimed a wicket each .
Sixer openers Alyessa Healy and Hollie Armitage came out to face up to Scorcher bowler Natalie Sciver ,then on the 4 th ball Healy had mistimed swipe at a ball and was caught for 2 ,the Sydney Sixers are now 1 /2 ,Ashliegh Gardner is the new Sixer batter who came out to join Hollie Armitage ,together this pair took the total to 23 before Hollie Armitage was caught in front lbw off the bowling of Nicole Bolton for 11 runs ,the Sixers are now 2/23 in the fifth over .Erin Burns came out to take centre ,this partnership only lasted just on 2 overs before Ashliegh Gardner was caught off the bowling of Taneale Peschel for 12 runs ,the Sixers are now 3/28 in the 6 th over .The new Sixer batter to the crease is Marizanne Kapp who with Erin Burns took the total to 34 before Burns was caught of the bowling of Kim Garth for 2 ,the Sixers are now 4/34.Incoming batter Dane Van Niekerk came out to join Marizane Kapp but unfortunately after adding 1 run to the total was heading back to the Pavillion after being caught and bowled off the bowling of Jemma Barsby for a duck,the Sixers are now 5/35 off 8 overs .Lauren Smith is the new batter who came out to join Marizanne Kapp and together added 25 runs to the total before Marizanne Kapp was caught in front lbw for 19 runs ,the Sixers are now 6/60 in the 12 th over .New batter to the crease is Maddy Darke who with Lauren Smith took the score to 78 before a misunderstanding Darke was run out for 4 runs,the Sydney Sixers are now 7/78,The incoming batter is Sarah Aley who with Lauren Smith added 16 runs to the Sixers total before Sarah Aley was caught of the bowling of HG ,the Sydney Sixers are now 8/94 ,with just under 2 overs to go and 58 runs the Sixers were going to need a miricle to get accross the line,Haley Silver-Jones is the next Sixer to come out and join Lauren Smith ,this pair added 6 runs before Silver-Smith was bowled by Kim Garth for 2 runs ,the Sixers are now 9/100 in the 19 th over ,Kim Garth bowled out her over ,the Perth Scorchers have won by 52 runs ,The player of the match is Perth Scorcher Natalie Sciver who put together a well made 52 runs as well as taking 1/27 off her 4 overs ,all the Scorcher captain Meg Lanning used her bowlers well and this with some great batting contributed to the win .
