Perth Scorchers  vs  Sydney Sixers

           The Perth Scorchers hosted the Sydney Sixers in match 12 of the KFC BBL 09 at Optus Stadium in front of 30,500 people,Scorcher captain Mitchell Marsh and Sixer’s skipper Moises Henriques made their way out to the centre for the bat flip ,Mitchell Marsh called it and sent the Sydney Sixers into bat .Coming out to open for the Sixers is Daniel Hughes and Josh Philippe ,the new ball was thrown to Jhye Richardson who opened from the members end with 7 runs coming off his first over , while Matthew Kelly opened from the Justin Langer end and he had 8 runs taken from his over .Bowler change and Chris Jordan came on and on the third ball had Josh Philippe caught for 9 runs ,the Sixers are now 1/19 ,incoming batter James Vince came out to join Daniel Hughes and together this partnership lasted for 46 runs before Daniel Hughes went down the wicket after Ashton Agar ,missed and was stumped by Josh Inglis for 35 runs off 25 balls the sixers are now 2/65 in the eighth over ,new batter to the crease is the Sixers skipper Moises Henriques and with James Vince only added 8 runs before Vince stepped down the wicket ,missed and was stumped of the bowling Fawad Ahmed for 22 runs off 21 balls ,the Sixers are now 3/73 off 9 overs.The new batter to come out is Jordan Silk who with the skipper put on a 41 run partnership  before Moises Henriques was cleaned bowled by Jhye Richardson for 35 runs off 20 balls ,the Sixers are now 4/114 off 13 overs.Tom Curran is the new batter to come out and join Jordan Silk and together this pair only put on 3 runs before Jordan Silk was caught of the bowling of Chris Jordan for 9 runs ,the Sixers are now 5/117 off 14 overs ,the next batter to come out is Hayden Kerr ,this partnership lasted 19 runs before Kerr was caught off the bowling of Matthew Kelly for 8 runs . Sean Abbott is the new batter to come out who lasted an over before he was caught off the bowling of Chris Jordan for 2 runs the Sixers are now 6/136 in the eighteenth over ,coming out to join Tom Curran is Ben Dwrashuis ,in the last over Tom Curran belted 24 runs of Matthew Kelly’s over to take the total to 174 runs ,Tom Curran remained 43 not out with Ben Dwarshuis 2 not out,the best of the Scorcher bowlers was Chris Jordan who finished with 3/29 off his 4 overs,Tom Curran’s innings of 43 not out was the best of the Sixers.

                Perth Scorcher openers Liam Livingstone and Josh Inglis came out to face up to Sixer opening bowlers  Ben Dwarshuis and Jackson Bird ,the Scorchers put on 6 runs before Liam Livingstone was caught off the bowling of Jackson Bird for 2 runs ,the Scorchers are 1/6, Cameron Bancroft is the new batter to join Josh Inglis ,with only 8 runs added to the total Cameron Bancroft was cleaned bowled by Jackson Bird for 1 ,the Scorchers are now 2/14 in the third over ,Scorchers skipper Mitchell Marsh nade his way to the crease ,with only 2 runs added to the total Josh Inglis was caught of the bowling Tom Curran  for 7 runs ,the Scorchers are now 3/16 and in deep trouble .Cameron Green is the new batter to join Mitch Marsh,but after 11 balls Green was on his way back to the pavillion after being caught behind off the bowling of Jackson Bird for 1 run ,the Scorchers are now 4/34 in the sixth over,Ashton Turner is the new batter ,but this partnership ended when Mitch Marsh played at a ball and hit it on ,was out bowled for 17 runs,the Scorchers are now 5/34.Ashton Agar is the next batter to take centre ,over the next 5 overs this pair added 47 runs before Ashton Agar was caught off the bowling of Lloyd Pope for 8 runs,the Scorchers are 6/81 off 11 overs .Chris Jordan is the new batter to come out and join Ashton Turner ,this partnership lasted 4 balls before Ashton Turner was caught of the bowling Sean Abbott for 28 runs ,the Scorchers are now 7/82,JhyeRichardson is the new batter ,this partnership added 9 runs before Chris Jordan was caught off the bowling of Ben Dwarshuis for 6 runs ,the Scorchers are now in deep trouble and are 8/91 ,the new batter is Matthew Kelly ,this partnership lasted for 3 overs before Jhye Richardson  was caught of the bowling of Sean Abbott for 14 runs,Scorchers are now 9/119 ,last batter to come to the crease is Fawad Ahmed ,but 5 balls later in the nineteenth over he was caught of the bowling of Ben Dwarshuis for 1 run ,the Perth Scorchers are all out for 126 runs in the 18.1 overs ,the Sydney Sixers won by 48 runs ,the Sixers deserved to win as it seemed the Perth Scorchers didn’t turn up ,its looking like they’ll end up the wooden spooners for 09 BBL.

                                                  Player of the match went to Tom Curran for his fine innings of 43 not out  .
