Perth Scorchers  vs  Brisbane Heat

             Before just over 16,000 cricket fans  the Brisbane Heat came to take on the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium ,the skippers had the bat toss and it was Perth Scorcher skipper Ashton Turner that called it and elected to bat putting Jimmy Peirson and his Brisbane Heat out to field .Coming out to open for the Scorchers are Export Colin Munro and Cameron Bancroft ,while opening bowling duo Xavier Bartlett and Liam Guthrie took the new ball ,on the 3^rd ball of Liam Guthrie first over Colin Munro misjudged a ball and out clean bowled for 3 runs ,the Scorchers are now 1/7,Kurtis Paterson is the incoming batter to join Cameron Bancroft ,together this partnership put on a stand of 65 runs in the 6 over’s .Cameron Bancroft played at a ball and missed and was out clean bowled for 25 runs ,the Perth Scorchers are now 2/75 .Laurie Evans is the next batter to cross the rope and join Kurtis Patterson ,this partnership put on 17 runs before Kurtis Patterson was out caught off the bowling Cameron Gannon for 55 well made runs ,the Perth Scorchers are now 3/92 in the 10^th over ,Scorcher skipper Ashton Turner is the new batter to partner Laurie Evans who over the next 5 over’s put together a 45 run partnership to take the score to 137 before Ashton Turner was caught for 28 runs off his 19 balls ,the Scorchers are now 4/137. Aaron Hardie is the next batter to cross the rope ,these 2 cricketers added 13 runs before Aaron Hardie was out caught off the bowling of Cameron Gannon for 5 runs ,the Scorchers are now 5/150 in the 18^th over .The next batter to the crease is Ashton Agar ,this partnership lasted for only for 6 balls before Ashton Agar was out caught off the bowling of Xavier Bartlett for 2 runs ,the Perth Scorchers are now 6/153 in the  19^th over, with just 5 balls remaining its Andrew Tye that has come out to join Evans and take the Scorchers score to 157 off their 20 overs .Kurtis Patterson (55) was the better batter for the Scorchers ,while Bancroft (25),Evans(33) and Turner (28) contributed to the Scorcher total ,the wickets were spread around all the Brisbane Heat bowlers .

                  Coming out to open the Brisbane Heat innings is Chris Lynn and Max Bryant ,while the new ball was thrown to Jason Behrendorf with Matthew Kelly at the other end .The Heat opening pair took the total to 12 runs before Max Bryant was out caught off the bowling of Matthew Kelly for 2 runs ,the Heat are now 1/12 ,Ben Duckett is the new batter to cross the rope ,but after 8 balls it was Ben Duckett that was walking back to the pavilion after being cleaned bowled for 1 run ,the Brisbane Heat are now 2/16 in the 3^rd over .Coming out to join Chris Lynn is Sam Heazlett who attacked the bowling and quickly took the total to 59 before he was out caught off the bowling of Andrew Tye for a quick 34 runs ,the Heat are now 3/59 ,the next batter to cross the rope is skipper Jimmy Peirson ,this partnership added 13 runs before the skipper Jimmy Peirson was out caught off the bowling of Andrew Tye for 6 runs ,the Brisbane heat are now 4/72 in the 11^th over .The next batter to cross the rope is Tom Cooper who with Chris Lynn added 18 runs before Tom Cooper was heading back to the pavilion after being caught off the bowling of Peter Hatzoglu for 13 runs ,the Brisbane heat are now  5/90 .James Bazley is the incoming batter to come out and join Chris Lynn ,this partnership added 15 runs before James Bazley was walking back to the pavilion after being cleaned bowled for 14 runs off the bowling of Jason Behrendorf ,the Heat are now 6/105 13^th over .Xaiver Bartlett is the incoming batter to join Chris Lynn ,this partnership added only added 2 runs before Chris Lynn was out caught off the bowling of Ashton Agar for 27 runs ,the Heat are now 7/107 in the 14^th over .Cameron Gannon is the next batter to cross the rope  ,this partnership added  3 runs before Cameron Gannon was out caught off the bowling of Matthew Kelly  for 2 runs ,the Brisbane Heat are now 8/110.With 4 ½ over’s remaining the Brisbane heat needed 48 runs to win ,incoming batter Mujeeb Ur Rahman came out to take centre ,but his stay was short lived as he was clean bowled for duck off the bowling of Matthew Kelly ,the Brisbane heat are now 9/110 and in deep trouble .Liam Guthrie was the next batter to cross the rope to join Xavier Bartlett ,this partnership just about got the Brisbane Heat over the line and the points but as cricket is cricket Liam Guthrie was run out for 6 runs ,the Brisbane Heat are all out falling 6 runs short of taking home the silverware ,the Perth Scorchers win by 6 runs .For the Brisbane Heat the main contributors with bat are Sam Heazlett(34) ,Xavier Bartlett(34 not out) and Chris Lynn getting 27 runs .The stand out bowler for the Perth Scorchers is Matthew Kelly who took 4/28 off his 4 over’s while the rest of the wickets were spread around the remaining bowlers .
