Sydney Sixers vs Hobart  Hurricanes

    On a clear spring day here in Perth .WA the Hobart Hurrines and the Sydney Sixer’s meet in the Weber WBBL match at the WACA ,the skippers Hurricanes  Rachel Priest and Sixers Ellyse Perry head out to the centre for the batflip ,Hurricanes Rachel Priest called it and  elected to bowl putting the Sixer’s into bat .Coming out to open for the Sixers are Ellyse Perry and Alyssa Healy ,the new ball was thrown to Hurricanes Tayla Vlaeminck who on the 4^th ball of the over had Alyssa Healy caught ,the Sixer’s are 1/1 ,the batter to come out is Ashleigh Gardner and together with the Sixer’s skipper Ellyse Perry over the 15 over’s took the total to 104 before Ashleigh Gardner was out caught of the bowling of Ruth Johnson for a well made 51 runs off 49 balls ,the Sixer’s are now 2/104 in the 16^th over .The new batter to come out is Shafali Verma  who put on a partnership of 7 runs before being stumped off the bowling of Molly Stano ,the Sixer’s are now 3/111, Maitlan Brown is the next batter to come out who with Perry put on 8 runs before the Sixer’s skipper was out Lbw to Nicola Carey for a well made 47 runs ,the Sixer’s are now 4/119 .Nicole Bolton came out with 2 over’s remaining and together with Maitlan Brown took the total to 141 off their 20 overs .The stand out batters for the Sixer’s are Ashliegh Garner for her 51 runs off 49 balls and Ellyse Perry for her 47 runs off 52 balls.

           The Hurricanes openers Rachel Priest and Ruth Johnston  came out to face Sixer Opening bowler Nicole Bolton ,this pair added 9 runs before Ruth Johnston was out caught off the bowling of Lauren Cheatle for 3 runs ,the Hurricanes are now 1/9 ,the next batter to the crease is Mignon du Preez  who with Rachel Priest took the score to 28 before Preez was out caught of the bowling of Maitlan Brown ,the Sixers are now 2/28 .The next batter to come to the crease is Nicola Carey who joined in a partnership of 26 runs to take the total to 54 before Nicola Carey was out caught of the bowling off Radha Yadav for 15 runs ,the Sixer’s are now 3/54 in the 10^th over .Richa Ghosh is the new batter to join Rachel Priest  ,4 balls later Ellyse Perry had Priest caught for 27 runs ,the Hurricanes are now 4/54 .Noami Stalenberg is the new batter and together with Richa Ghosh  took the Hurricanes total to 81 runs before Naomi Stalenberg was out caught of the bowling of Nicole Bolton for 14 runs ,the Hurricanes are now 5/81 in the 15^th over .Sasha Moloney is the incoming batter ,next ball Richa Ghosh is out stumped off the bowling of Nicole Bolton ,the Hurricanes are now 6/81 .Molly Strano is the new batter and over the next 3 over’s added 23 runs before Sasha Moloney is out caught of the bowling Maitlan Brown ,the Hurricans are in deep trouble 7/104 .With 7 balls remaining in the innings of 20 overs and the Hurricanes needing 37 runs it was Tayla Vlaeminck who came out to the crease ,this pair put on 6 runs to take the total to 110 ,falling short by 31 runs.The Sydney sixers bowled well to contain the Hurricanes batters.
