Melbourne Renegades vs  Perth Scorchers

     The Perth Scorcher women travelled over to the Junction Oval here in StKilda to take on the Melbourne Renegades for match 8 ot the Rebel WBBL,Scorcher captain Meg Lanning with Renegade captain Jess Duffin made there way out to the middle for the bat toss ,Jess Duffin called it and sent the Scorchers into bat .Perth openers Meg Lanning and Amy Jones came out to face up,Renegades bowler Sophie Molineux was given the new ball .Sophie Molineux first over yielded only 3 runs .Lea Tahahu opened from the other end and bowled 2 balls ,then on the third ball had Meg Lanning caught behind for 2 runs ,the Scorhers were now 1/3, incoming batter is Natalie Sciver and together with Amy Jones the pair added 76 runs for their partnership over the next 10 overs .Amy Jones on a well made 44 played at a ball and hit it to  cover and was caught off the bowling of Molly Strano ,the Scorchers were now 2/79 at the 11^th over , new batter Nicole Bolton made her way out to the centre to join Natilie Sciver ,in the next 3 overs the pair added 20 runs before Bolton was caught of the bowling of Sophie Molineux for 11 runs ,the Scorchers were now 3/99 in the 15^th over .Georgia Redmayne came out to join Natalie Sciver who was seeing the pretty well ,together the pair added 17 runs before Redmayne was caught for 11 after going at ball from Danni Wyatt ,the Scorchers were now 4/116 .With just under 2 overs to go new batter Heather Graham came out to join Sciver ,in the next few overs the pair added 16 runs before Heather Graham was caught off the last ball of the innings for 4 runs ,the Scorchers ended up 5/132 of the 20 overs .

      Renegades openers Sophie Molineux  with Danni Wyatt came out to face up to Scorcher opener Kim Garth who kept the batters to 3 runs of the first over ,coming in from the other end was Piepa Cleary  who was bowling well and kept the batters to 5 runs off her over .Emma King came on to relace Garth and Renegade batters took 2 boundries of her first over ,the Renegades were now 0/17.Then over the next 2 overs took the total to 35 before Sophie Molineux was caught off the bowling of Piepa Cleary for 24 runs ,the Renegades were now 1/ 35 ,incoming batter is Tammy Beaumount who with Danni Wyatt put on a 48 run partnership in the 5 overs ,Tammy Beaumont then drove at a ball and was caught + bowled off the bowling of Nicole Bolton for 25 runs the Renegades were now 2/83, Claire Koski is the new batter to the crease.Next over Jemma Barsby ran in and bowled a half volley to Danni Wyatt who didn’t who  connect and was caught for 31 off the 29 balls faced ,the Renehades were now 3/85 in the 11^th over ,the next batter to take centre was the Renegades skipper Jess Duffin,the Scorcher bowler  HG and Nicole Bolton were hitting the spot and kept the run rate down ,with change of bowler Kim Garth ran in and had Claire Koski caught for 5 runs .the Renegades were now 4/103 off 14.1 overs .Courtney Webb was the next batter to hit the crease with only 30 runs needed to win off the 30 balls this game could go either way ,Kim Garth finished of her over only conceding 4 runs .Peipa Cleary lined up for another over ,then Jess Duffin played and missed at ball and was stumped by Amy Jones Scorcher keeper for 17 runs ,Renegades were now  5/112 .The incoming batter is Josie Dooley who with Courtney Webb slowly added to the total and took it to 130 before Courtney Webb was caught of the bowling of Jemma Barsby ,the Renegades are now 6/130 with only 3 runs needed of the final over .Maitlin Brown is the new batter and with Josie Dooley took the Renegades over the line to win by 4 wickets .Player of the match went to Sophie Molineux .
