The 2 captains made their way out to the batflip and it was the Melbourne Renegades skipper Nic Maddinson that called it and elected to bowl , the Scorcher openers Zak Crawley and Cooper Connolly made their way to the crease while the new ball was thrown to Tom Rogers and Mujeeb Ur Rahman .In the first over Zak Crawley was out caught off the bowling of Tom Rogers for 1 run ,the Scorchers are now 1 /2, the next batter is the Perth Scorcher skipper Aaron Hardie ,in the next over it was Cooper Connolly that was heading back to the pavilion after being cleaned bowled for a duck ,the Scorchers are now 2/4 in the 2nd over. Josh inglis is the next batter and over the next 13 over’s this partnership added 120 runs but Josh Inglis played at a shot and was out caught off the bowling of Tom Rogers for a well made 64 runs off 44 balls, the Scorchers are 3/124.
