Perth Scorchers  vs Sydney Sixers

The Sydney Sixers have made the trip over West, the two skippers Sydney’s Ellyse Perry and Perth’s Sophie Devine have made their way out to the centre for the Batflip, it was Sophie that called it and elected to bat putting the Sixers into the field, the Perth openers Chloe Piparo and Beth Mooney made their way to the centre, Sydney opener Lauren Cheatle was thrown the new ball while Linsey Smith opened from the other end. The Scorcher openers started off adding  42 runs in the first 4 overs  ,in the 5th over Chloe Piparo  played at a ball and was out caught of the bowling of Maitlan Brown for 30 well made runs ,the Scorchers are now 1/53, the next batter to the crease is Maddy Darke ,this partnership added only 9 runs before opener Beth Mooney stepped down to ball from Linsey Smith and out caught of the bowling of Kate Peterson for 32 runs off her 25 balls ,the Scorchers are now 2/62 eighth over .Scorchers skipper Sophie Devine is the next batter to walk out to the centre ,9 balls later that Maddy Darke played at a ball and was out caught of the bowling of Linsey Smith for 9 runs ,the Scorchers are now 3/70 in the 8th over ,Lisa Griffith made her way out to take centre and together with Devine added 13 runs to the total before Lisa Griffith was out caught of the bowling of Ashleigh Gardner for 7 runs ,the Perth Scorchers are now 4/83 .The batter to the crease was English International Amy Jones who with Sophie Devine added 42 runs to the total before Scorchers skipper Sophie Devine holed out to a ball off  Ashleigh Gardner for a well made 26 runs off 22 balls ,the Scorchers are now 5/126.Amy Edgar is the new batter to the crease ,unfortunately she played at a ball and was out caught for a Golden Duck ,the Scorchers are now 6/126 in the 15th over .Alana King is the new batter who has made her way out to join Amy Jones ,over the next 2 overs adding 17 runs to the total before Amy Jones was out caught off the bowling of Lauren Cheatle for 28 runs off 19 balls ,Perth are now 7/143 with 2 overs remaining ,Lilly Mills is the new batter to take centre ,this pair took the total to 150 before Mills was out caught off the bowling of Linsey Smith for 1 run, the Scorchers are now 8/150, Coming out to partner Alana King is Taneale Peschel  who together took the total to 166 when the 20 overs were up, openers Chloe Piparo (30 )and Beth Mooney (32) batted well with Amy Jones (28) and the top scorer was Alana King with hitting 33 runs off 14 balls. Ashleigh Gardner was the best of the Sixers bowlers taking 3/38.

The Sixer’s openers skipper Ellyse Perry and Suzie Bates made their way out to face up to Perth openers Chloe Ainsworth and Alana King  who had little trouble in taking the total to 52 runs before Suzie Bates was out caught off the bowling off  Taneale Peschel  for 18 runs ,the Sixer’s are now 1/52 in the 7th over ,the next batter to make her way out is Ashleigh Gardner ,this partnership lasted for 1 run before Gardner was out stumped off the bowling of Alana King for a Duck ,the Sydney Sixers are now 2/53.Erin Burns is the next batter to the crease and with Perry added 10 runs to the total before Burns was out clean bowled by Amy Edgar for 2 runs ,the Sixers are now 3/63 .Chloe Tyron made her way out to the centre  to partner Ellyse Perry and over the next 3 1/2 overs added 28 runs before Chloe Tyron was out caught of the bowling of Amy Edgar for 16 runs ,the Sixers are now 4/91 ,Maitlan Brown is the next batter to the crease ,unfortunately 6 balls later she was heading back to the clubrooms after being caught off the bowling of Sophie Devine for a Duck ,the Sydney Sixers are now 5/96 in the 14th over ,the new batter to take centre is Mathilda Carmichael who with Ellyse Perry put on 18 runs to the total before the Sydney Sixer’s skipper was out caught off the bowling of Alana King for a well made 59 runs off 48 balls ,the Sixer’s are now 6/114.Kate Pelle is the next batter to come out and together with Carmichael added 6 runs before Mathilda Carmichael was out caught off the bowling of Amy Edgar for 14 runs off her 12 balls ,the Sixer’s are now  7/120 in the 18th over, Sydney now need a miracle to get over the line ,the next batter is Kate Peterson  this partnership added 4 runs before Kate Pelle was out caught of the bowling of Chloe Ainsworth ,Sydney are now 8/124 .The batter is Lauren Cheattle  who with Linsey Smith added 2 runs before Linsey Smith was out caught of the bowling of Sophie Devine for 1 run ,the Sixers are now  9/126 ,with 5 balls left this partnership added 4 runs to take the Sixers to 130 runs off their 20 overs ,the best batter for the Sixers was captain Ellyse Perry ,the better Scorcher bowler was Amy Edgar who picked up 4 wickets with Alana King and Sophie Devine picking up 2 a piece .
