Western Australian  vs  South Australia (Men)

                Match 3 of the Marsh One day cup came to the WACA to see West Australia take on South Australia ,the skippers Shaun Marsh and Travis Head made their way out on ground for the coin toss ,the SA skipper called it and sent the WA team into bat . SA Bowler Daniel Worrall was thrown the new ball ,while WA openers Cameron Bancroft and Sam Whiteman made their way out to the crease ,the pitch was showing some signs of movement earlier as the batters added took the score to 0/32 before Cameron Bancroft was given out LBW to Daniel Worrall for 18 runs ,WA are now 1/32.The incoming batter is Skipper Shaun Marsh who together with Sam Whiteman added 77 runs to the total before Sam Whiteman was out bowled to Travis Head  for 43 runs ,WA are now 2/109 .Cameron Green made his way out to the crease who with Shaun Marsh put on a 156 run partnership to take WA to 265 before Shaun Marsh was out caught to Daniel Worrall ,WA are now 3/265 in the 42 nd over ,the WA batters aren’t having a lot of trouble with the SA bowlers due mainly to a lifeless WACA wicket .Josh Inglis is the incoming batter who with inform Cameron Green put 88 runs on to the total before Josh Inglis was caught off the bowling of Daniel Worrall for 28 runs ,wa are now 4/353 in the 49 th over .Nick Hobson is the incoming batter ,this pair added 9 runs before Cameron Green who was on 144 was caught off the bowling Wes Agar ,WA are now 5/362,Aaron Hardie came out to join Nick Hobson who together saw out the remaining 4 balls adding 7 runs to the total of 369 runs .Shaun Marsh batted well to get his 113 and the inform Cameron Green had little trouble with the bowling to get his 144 runs ,Wes Agar was the better of the SA bowlers taking 2/62 off his 10 overs .

            SA openers Harry Nielson and Jake Weatherald made their way out to the centre ,while WA bowler Joel Paris was thrown the new ball ,the 2 SA openers had little trouble in taking the score to 54 in the 13 th over before Jake Weatherald edged a ball thru’ to the keeper and was out for 29 runs ,SA are now 1/54.SA skipper Travis Head is the new batter and together with Harry Nielson hammered the WA bowlers and were looking at cruising to a win ,but then in the 38 th over there was a misunderstanding and skipper Travis Head was run out for 142 runs ,this partnership added 226 runs .SA are now 2/280 and looking the goods ,Alex Carey is the new batter who came out and only lasted 2 balls before a rush off blood saw him also run out for a duck ,SA are now 3/282 in the 39th over,Callum Ferguson is the next batter to take centre ,with 63 balls remaining and needing 87 runs the result was looking in SA favor.But cricket is cricket and anything can happen because this partnership added 33 runs before Callum Ferguson was out bowled by Aaron Hardie ,SA are now 4/315 in the 43 rd over ,South Australia need 54 runs off the next 43 balls to win.Tom Cooper is the new batter to join opener Harry Nielson who was seeing the ball like a football ,8 balls later SA opener Harry Nielson was out caught off the bowling of Liam Guthrie for a well made 110 runs ,SA are now 5/322 .Corey Kelly is the next batter to come to the crease ,this partnership only lasted 4 balls before another misunderstanding saw Tom Cooper run out for 7 runs ,SA are 6/329 in the 46 th over .Cameron Valente is the incoming batter to take centre and together with Corey Kelly took the total to 336 before Corey Kelly was out caught for 7 runs off the bowling off Joel Paris ,SA are now 7/336.Daniel Worrall is the new batter to join Cameron Valente unfortunately this partnership only lasted 5 balls before Daniel Worrall was out caught off the bowling of Joel Paris for 1 run,SA are now 8/339,Wes Agar is the incoming batter ,this partnership only lasted 2 balls before Wes Agar was out bowled by Liam Guthrie for a Duck ,South Australia are now 9/340 ,with 15 balls remaining and 30 runs needed to win the result could go either way .Peter Hatzoglou is the new batter to the crease ,but on the first ball of the 50 th over there was another misunderstanding  and Cameron Valente was run out for 15 runs ,the SA innings has come to an end with Peter Hatzoglou on 5 not out ,South Australia fell 14 runs short off a win .Harry Nielson’s innings of 110 and inform Travis Head’s 142 runs were the stand out batters for South Australia ,Western Australia bowlers Joel Paris and Liam Guthrie both took 2 wickets a piece.Towards the end of the match it was looking like South Australia would take the points,but Western Australia kept the pressure on and South Australia ran themselves out ,Western Australia took the points.

The player of the match went to Cameron Green who batted well to get his 144 runs.
