KFC BBL Perth Scorchers vs Hobart Hurricanes

The Hobart Hurricanes have made the trip over west to take on the Perth Scorchers here at Perth Stadium ,the 2 skippers Ashton Turner and Nathan Ellis have made their way to the centre for the toss and it was the Hobart Hurricanes that called it and elected to bat .Coming out to open for the Hurricanes is Caleb Jewell and Ben McDermott while the new ball was thrown to Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff .The Hurricanes started off slowly getting 4 runs of the first over ,then in the second over facing up to Jason Behrendorff Ben McDermott was caught out by Jhye Richardson for 4 runs ,the Hurricanes are now 1/ 8. Sam Hain is the next batter to the crease ,faced up to a ball missed and was given out lbw for a Duck ,the Hurricanes are now 2/8 ,Tim David is the next batter to the crease to face up to Jason Behrendorff on a hatrick ball ,this partnership added 20 runs before Tim David was out caught off the bowling of Jason Behrendorff for 12 runs off his 8 balls ,the Hurricanes are now 3/28 .The new batter is Corey Anderson ,3 balls later it was Caleb Jewell who was heading back to the dugout after being caught by Ashton Turner off the bowling of Lance Morris for 12 runs of 11 balls ,the Hobart Hurricanes are now 4/28 in the 4^th over .The Hobart Hurricanes  are in trouble and need a partnership to have any hope. Coming out to the crease is Nikhil Chaudhary and this partnership added 19 runs before Corey Evans was out caught off the bowling of Andrew Tye for 8 runs of 16 balls ,the Hurricanes are now 5/47 in the 7^th over .Mitchell Owen is the new batter to partner Nikhil Chaudhary ,over the next 7 over’s this partnership added 55 much needed runs ,unfortunately Nikhil Chaudhary was cleaned bowled by Jason Behrendorff for 40 runs off 31 balls ,the Hurricanes are now 6/103 in the 14^th over .The new batter is Paddy Dooley ,this partnership lasted for 2 balls before Mitchell Owen was out caught by Aaron Hardie off the bowling of Ashton Agar for 28 runs off 22 balls, the Hurricanes are now 7/107 .Coming out to join Paddy Dooley is Chris Jordan ,this partnership added 65 much needed runs to the total to take the Hurricanes to 172 run in their 20 over’s.       

                            Coming out to open for the Perth Scorchers is Zak Crawley and Cooper Connolly ,opening the bowling for the Hurricanes are Billy Stanlake and Paddy Dooley .In the 3rd over Cooper Connolly faced up to Chris Jordan ball and was  out caught by Nikhil Chaudhary for 5 runs of 7 balls ,the Scorchers are 1/16.This bought Aaron Hardie out to the crease to partner Zak Crawley  ,this partnership flourished with both batters getting runs at will ,with Aaron Hardie smashing 26 runs off a Paddy Dooley over, this partnership had no trouble in getting the required runs to pass the Hurricanes total of 172 in the 16^th over. The Perth Scorchers win by 9 wickets with 23 balls remaining, Aaron Hardie was the better batter for the Scorchers getting 85 runs of 45 balls, with Zak Crawley adding 65 runs off 46 balls .The better batter for the Hobart Hurricanes was Chris Jordan getting 59 runs of 20 balls, Nikhil Chaudhary (40) and Mitchell Owen (28), The better of the Perth Scorcher bowlers is Jason Behrendorff picking up 4/24 off his 4 over’s, while the other bowlers all contributed.Attendance was 28,494 people
