             The Western Australian women are playing the ACT Meteors in the second match of their double header here at the WACA today, in the first game on Friday the WA Women convincibly beat the younger ACT Meteors team .The 2 skippers Katie Mack and Chloe Piparo made their way to the centre for the coin toss and it was Katie Mack that again called it and elected to bat. Coming out to open for the Meteors are Rebecca Carter and Grace Lyons while for the WA Women the new ball was thrown to Piepa Cleary and Taneale Peschel .The openers started off slowly adding runs to the total ,in the 4th over Grace Lyons played at a ball from Taneale Peschel and was caught for 3 runs off her 11 balls ,the Meteors are now 1/8.Katie Mack is the next batter to the crease and over the 3 over’s this partnership added 13 runs to the total before the skipper Katie Mack was caught behind for a Duck ,the Meteors are now 2/21 in the 5th over ,the next batter to the crease is Annie Wikman ,unfortunately this partnership was short lived as the next ball Rebecca Carter was out lbw to Amy Edgar for 16 runs off her 19 balls ,the Meteor’s are now 3/23 .Carly Leeson is the next batter to the crease who with Annie Wikman added 31 much needed runs to the total before Annie Wikman was cleaned bowled for 9 runs off her 23 balls ,the ACT Meteors are now 4/54 .Olivia Porter is the next batter to make her way out to the centre and over the next 16 over’s this partnership added 82 much needed runs ,unfortunately Olivia Porter played at a ball from Chloe Ainsworth and was out caught for 41 runs off her 53 balls ,the Meteors are now 5/136 .Grace Digman is the new batter to the crease ,unfortunately there was a mix up and Grace Digman went for a run was caught short and run out for 10 runs off her 15 balls .The ACT Meteors are now 6/149 and are in deep trouble ,coming out to join the partnership is Angelina Genford ,Taneale Peschel bowled to Carly Leeson who mishit it and was out caught by Chloe Piparo for a well made 50 runs ,the Meteors are now 7/149 .The next batter coming out is Holly Ferling ,2 over’s later she was heading back to the dugout after being cleaned bowled for 5 runs off her 9 balls. The ACT Meteors are now 8/171, the next batter to the crease is Junnatul Sumona, she faced up to Zoe Britcliffe and was cleaned bowled for a Duck, and the Meteors are 9/171 in the 37th over. Amy Hunter is the next batter to the crease ,this partnership ended 3 balls later it was the Meteors are all out after Angelina Genford was out caught and bowled of Piepa Cleary for 17 runs off her 25 balls .The Meteors hit 171 runs off their 38.3 over’s ,the better batters for the Meteors were Carly Leeson (50) ,Olivia Porta (41 ) .The better bowlers for the WA women were Taneale Peschel (3),Zoe Britcliffe (2) and the other bowlers getting 1 a piece , there were 20 extra’s bowled in this innings .

         The Western Australian openers Chloe Piparo and Maddy Darke made their way to the centre while the ACT Meteors opening bowlers Angelina Genford and Amy Hunter were thrown the new ball .The opening batters started off slowly adding runs to the total with both Chloe Piparo and Maddy Darke scoring freely and at will ,by the 25th over it was the WA women that took the silverware and hit 174 runs to win by 10 wickets ,Skipper Chloe Piparo leading by example hit her 79 runs off 84 balls with keeper Maddy Darke hitting 71 runs off her 69 balls. The ACT Meteors are a young side and over time will develop into a side to be reckoned with, there were 24 extra’s bowled in this innings .
