        In the match 52 of the WBBL/05 the Hobart Hurricanes came over to Lilac Hill,Perth to do battle with the Perth Scorchers ,Scorcher skipper  Meg Lanning  together with Hurricanes Corrine Hall made their way out to the centre for the bat flip .Hurricanes skipper Corrine Hall called it and sent the home team into bat ,Hobart bowler Belinda Vakarewa was thrown the new ball and coming in from the other end  was Hurricane quick Tayla Vlaeminck ,in the second over Tayla Vlaeminck let one go and cleaned bowled Scorcher International Amy Jones for 4 run ,the Scorchers are now 1/9 in the second over .Geordia Redmayne is the incoming batter to join the skipper Meg Lanning ,this partnership lasted 3 overs before Georgia Redmayne was caught off the bowling of Belinda Vakarewa for 5 runs ,the Scorcher girls are now 2/19 .The next batter to walk out to join the skipper is International  Nat Sciver ,this partnership lasted for an over before Meg Lanning became tayla Vlaeminck second victim and was bowled for 10 runs ,the Scorchers are now 3/21 .Nicloe Bolton made her way out to join Nat Sciver ,together these two batters added 37 runs to the total before Nicloe Bolton was caught of the bowling of Nicole Carey for 21 runs in the 11^th over ,the Scorchers are now 4/58 .Chloe Piparo is the new batter to join Nat Sciver ,6 balls later Nat Sciver was caught off the bowling of Maisy Gibson ,Sciver made 21 much needed runs off her 20 balls ,the Scorchers are now 5/63.New batter Heather Graham made her way out to the crease,this partnership put on 14 runs before local Chloe Piparo went Lbw to Maisy Gibson for 9 runs ,the Scorchers are now 6/77 .Jemma Barsby came out to join HG but unfortunately in the 17^th over Heather Graham was caught of the bowling of Nicola Carey for 6 runs, the Scorchers are now  7/81 and running out of batters ,Kim Garth is the new batter to join the chase ,unfortunately due to a mix up Kim Garth was run out for 5 runs ,with 2 overs to go the Scorchers are 8/88 .Taneale Peschel made her way to the centre to join Jemma Barsby and as the Scorchers were desperate for runs Peschel was run out for 10 runs ,the Scorchers are now 9/102 .With only 3 balls left in the Scorchers innings Samantha Betts  came out to join Jemma Barsby ,the pair made a dash on the last ball and Jemma Barsby  was run out  for 11 runs ,the Scorchers ended up making 107 runs on their 20 overs .The Hobart hurricane bowlers all contributed to keep the Scorchers total to a low total ,Vlaeminck ,Carey and Gibson each took 2 wickets a piece Nat Sciver and Nicole Bolton each top scored for the Scorchers with 21 runs each.

         Hobart Hurricane openers Erin Fazackerley and Nicola Carey made their way out for the Hurricanes innings to chase down the modest total of 107 runs made by the Scorchers.Scorcher  bowler  Nicole Bolton took the new ball while Taneale Peschel opened at the other end ,the Hurricane openers made their intentions known as they took to the bowlers and11 runs off the first over  ,in the second over in a rush off blood Nicola Carey was caught off the bowling of Taneale Perschel for 4 runs ,the Hurricanes are now 1/16 .The new batter to walk out is International Heather Knight who too had a rush of blood and was out caught off the bowling of Taneale Perschel for a Duck ,the Hurricanes are now 2/16 and the total of 107 was looking harder to get .The new batter is Fran Wilson and with Erin Frazackerley steadied the team to put together a partnership of 25 runs unfortunately Fran Wilson was caught off the bowling of Kim Garth for 13 runs ,the Hurricanes are now 3/41 in the 6^th over .Hurricane skipper Corrine Hall was the incoming batter and together with Erin Fazackerley over the next 8 overs put togther a partnership of 54 well made runs before Erin Fazackerley was caught off the bowling of Samantha Betts for 58 well made runs ,the Hurricanes are 4/95.With only 13 runs needed to win and 5 overs left it was just a matter of time ,Chloe Tyron was the incoming batter and over the next 2 overs made the runs needed to win .The Hobart Hurricanes won the match easily with 4 overs remaining and having 6 wickets in hand ,Erin Fazackerley batted well to get her 58 runs and played well enough to be named  Player of the Match ,Taneale Perschel was the better of the Scorcher bowlers picking up 2 early wickets.
