           In match 14 of the Marsh Sheffield shield the Victorian men made their way accross the Nullabor to do battle with the Western Australian men ,WA skipper Shaun Marsh with Victorian skipper Peter Handscomb made their way to the centre for the coin toss ,the Vic skipper called it and decided to bat sending the home team WA out into the field.Victorian openers Nic Maddision and Marcus Harris made their way out to take centre while WA opening bowler Jhye Richardson and Matthew Kelly was thrown the new ball ,over the next 26 overs the Victorian batters had little trouble with the WA bowlers and took the Victorian total to 78 runs ,Then Nic Maddison swung at a ball and was caught off the bowling of Matthew Kelly for 37 runs ,the Vics are 1/78,incoming batter is Will Pucovski  and together with Marcus Harris took the total to 108 runs before Harris went Lbw off the bowling of Mathew Kelly for 69 runs ,Victoria are 2/108 .Skipper Peter Handscomb is the new batter who came out to join Will Pucovski and over the next 7 overs the pair added 13 runs before the skipper Peter Handscomb went Lbw to Ashton Agar for 12 runs ,Victoria are now 3/125.The incoming batter is Glenn Maxwell ,this partnership lasted for 3 runs before Glenn Maxwell went Lbw to Jhye Richardson for 1 run Victoria are now 4/128 after 44 overs,the incoming batter is Matt Short to join in a partnership with Will Pucovski ,this pair over the next 26 overs added 124 runs that took the total to 242 runs before Matt Short was caught off the bowling of Jhye Richardson for 55 runs.the Vics are 5/242 ,Sam Harper is the incoming batter who partnered Will Pucovski for the next 10 overs to add 23 runs to the total before Will Pucovski  was caught behind off the bowling of Jhye Richardson for 64 runs,Victoria are now 6/265.James Pattinson is the incoming batter who with Sam Harper took the score to 296 runs before James Pattinson was caught off the bowling of David Moody for 10 runs,the Vics are now 7/296. Chris Tremain is the incoming batter to make his way out to join Sam Harper ,but this partnership only lasted 2 overs before Chris Tremain was caught off the bowling of David Moody for a Duck ,Victoria are 8/296.Peter Siddle made his way out to join Sam Harper but unfortunately he was heading back to the pavillion after only getting 6 runs before he was caught off the bowling of David Moody ,Victoria are now 9/317.Scott Boland is the incoming batter to join Sam Harper ,this partnership was to last 7 overs before Sam Harper was out caught behind off the bowling of David Moody for a well made 72 runs off 122 balls ,Victoria are all out for 341 runs .Sam Harper was the better batter of the Vics with Pucovski,Harris and Short all making a major contribution ,for  WA Jhye Richardson,Matthew Kelly and David Moody all bowled well to each pick up 3 wickets apiece .

The WA openers Sam Whiteman and Cameron Bancroft made their way out to open WA’s first innings ,the Victorian new ball was thrown James Pattinson and opening from the other end is Chris Tremain ,in the forth over it was James Pattinson who took the wicket of Cameron Bancroft after being caught for 10 runs ,WA are now 1/18 ,WA skipper Shaun Marsh is the next batter to walk out to the centre to Sam Whiteman ,this partnership added 47 runs before Sam Whiteman was clean bowled  off the bowling of Peter Siddle ,WA are now 2/65 runs ,the batter coming out is Marcus Stoinis to join Shaun Marsh who toghether in there partnership of 30 overs added 115 runs to the WA total ,unfortunately Marcus Stoinis was cleaned bowled  by Glenn Maxwell for 56 well made runs off 76 balls ,WA are now 3/180 ,the new batter is Hilton Cartright who together with Shaun Marsh added 69 runs to the total before Hilton Cartright went Lbw to Peter Siddle for 42 runs,WA are now 4/249.The new batter Josh Philipe made his way to the  centre to Join Shaun Marsh in a  54 over partnership which saw Shaun Marsh get his century and take the total to 391 runs before Josh Philippe went Lbw to Chris Tremain for a well made 65 runs ,Western Australia are now 5/391 runs .The new batter to the centre to join Shaun Marsh is Josh Inglis and over the next 25 overs added 94 runs to take WA to 484 runs before the WA skipper on 214 runs was caught off the bowling of James Pattinson ,WA are now 6/484.Ashton Agar is the new batter to make his way out to join Josh Inglis but after 5 balls was caught off the bowling of James Pattinson for 4 runs ,WA are now 7/488 ,Jhye Richardson is the incoming batter to join Josh Inglis ,but 8 balls later Jhye Richardson was heading back to the pavillion after being caught of the bowling of James Pattinson for a Duck ,WA are 8/490 .The next batter to come out is Matthew Kelly and with the score on 519 runs there was a mix up in the running and Josh Inglis was run out for 58 well made runs ,Western Australia were all out for 519 runs giving them a 178 run lead over the Vics,Shaun Marsh was the best of the WA batters in this inning getting 214 runs and was well supported by Stoinis,Cartright,Philippe and Inglis who all made a najor contribution.James Pattinson was the best Victorian bowler getting 4 wickets with Peter Siddle getting 2 wickets.

          The Victorian openers Nic Maddison and Marcus Harris came out looking at getting 178 runs to avoid an outright defeat ,WA opening bowler Jhye Richardson took the new ball while Matthew Kelly put pressure on from the other end ,in the 4^th over Marcus Harris was out caught off the bowling of Jhye Richardson for 8 runs ,the Vics are now 1/15 ,the incoming batter is Will Pucovski to come out and join Nic Maddison ,this pair put on 9 runs in the 9 over partnership before Will Pucovski was caught behind off the bowling of David Moody for 2 runs ,the Vics are now 2/24 ,the new batter to make his way out to join Nic Maddison is Vic skipper Peter Handscomb, togther this pair added 39 runs before the skipper Peter Handscomb went Lbw to Marcus Stoinis for 19 runs ,Victoria are now 3/63.Glenn Maxwell is the next batter to come out and Nic Maddison , 5 overs later Nic Maddison was out caught behind to a ball from Jhye Richardson for 37 runs ,Victoria are now 4/73.Matt Short is the next batter to make his way out to join Glenn Maxwell  ,but this partnership only lasted 8 balls before Matt Short went Lbw to a ball from Marcus Stionis for a Duck,Victoria are now 5/78 and looking at an outright defeat,the new batter is Sam Harper who with Glenn Maxwell over the next 17 overs added 70 runs before Glenn Maxwell  was out caught off the bowling of Marcus Stionis for 57 well made runs ,Victoria are now 6/148 .The new batter is James Pattinson who came out to join Sam Harper ,this partnership only lasted  for 4 overs before James Pattinson was out caught behind off the bowling of David Moody for a Duck ,the Vics are now 7/162 and still 16 runs behind WA’s total ,the new batter is Chris Tremain who with Sam Harper batted for the next 8 overs before Sam Harper was caught off the bowling of David Moody for 31 runs ,the Vics are 8/173 .Peter Siddle is the next batter to make his way to the crease but 5 overs later Peter Siddle was heading back to the pavillion after being caught off the bowling of Ashton Agar for 3 runs ,Victoria are now 9/183 .Victoria have crept past WA’s total of 519 ,the next batter is Scott Boland who with Chris Tremain added 3 runs to the total before Scott Boland was cleaned bowled by Jhye Richardson for 1 run .Victoria are all out for 186 runs giving them a 8 run lead ,Glenn Maxwell was the major run scorer with his 57 runs while Nic Maddison and Sam Harper provided supporting roles ,the best of the WA bowlers were Jhye Richardson ,Marcus Stionis and David Moody who all collected 3 wickets apiece .

          WA openers Sam Whiteman with Cameron Bancroft came out in the second innings needing to only get 9 runs to win ,Victorian openers Scott Boland and Chris Tremain came on ,in the 3rd over Sam Whiteman was out bowled by Scott Boland for 3 runs ,WA are 1/7 ,the new batter is skipper Shaun Marsh who with Cameron Bancroft made the required runs to take the win ,with Cameron Bancroft on 6 not out and Shaun Marsh remained on 0 not out .WA won by 9 wickets.  

Player of the match went to Shaun Marsh for his 214 runs in the WA first innings.
